It’s time to have a little fun with ink, water and acetate! Using water based ink pad or pens on acetate then spritzing with water creates this beautiful wash technique on your pages. Using a paintbrush as well can change how the ink and water react on the acetate.
Step 1 is to practice on a scrap piece of white paper. Add the ink to the acetate either using the pens to swipe across the acetate or if using an ink pad taking a paintbrush into the ink and swiping it across the acetate. Once you have the ink down spray it with a little bit of water and watch the ink puddle up. Flip over the acetate and apply slowly to the paper, letting the ink soak into the paper. Repeat and have fun!
This technique is a fun way to add interest to your page and get to play like a kid again with ink and paper.
I used the rest of my Stampin’ Up! Paper Pumpkin December 2023 kit to create this second layout. It was a lot of fun creating this layout and play around with inks and water. Both in the practicing before I created the final page but in the playing with different ways to get the ink to move on the acetate and the paper. I hope you give it a try.

Here is the link to my tutorial and the page layout on YouTube which walks through the whole process of getting the ink on the acetate and using water and a paintbrush to create these dynamic bursts of color on your page.
