The start of a new year always feels like a natural pause point — a moment to slow down, look back, and take an honest look at what worked (and what didn’t). As I step into 2026, I wanted to review my creative journey in 2025. I also want to share what I’m hoping for in the year ahead.
Looking Back at 2025: A Year of Creating (and Trying)
2025 was a year filled with job challenges and learning how to protect time for the creative side of my life. I was able to spend time creating in spurts — whether that was making cards, scrapbook pages, or putting together my Advent Calendar series. Each project, big or small, played a role in shaping my creative year.
Although consistency was one of my goals this year, I was strong during some seasons and struggled in others — and that showed in my YouTube growth. I had a good end of year growth because of my Advent Calendar series.
I also experimented with new ideas, like offering precut pages for sale. That particular idea didn’t take off the way I hoped, but it wasn’t a failure. It helped me better understand what my audience is looking for. It also reminded me that not every idea is meant to stick. And that’s okay.
Celebrating the Wins (Even the Quiet Ones)
One of the biggest lessons I learned in 2025 is that progress doesn’t always show up loudly.
By showing up more consistently on YouTube, I started to see steady growth in subscribers. It wasn’t overnight, and it wasn’t viral — but it was progress. Showing up regularly, creating even when motivation was low, and sharing my work mattered. That consistency was a win, and it’s something I plan to build on in 2026.
My Two Words for 2026: Patience & Persistence
As I look ahead, two words continue to come up for me: patience and persistence.
In 2026, I would love to see my YouTube channel become monetized. That means growing my subscriber count and increasing my watch hours — goals that absolutely require patience. It also requires persistence: continuing to craft, film, edit, and share, even when growth feels slow.
These two words also apply to my Stampin’ Up! business. I’d love to welcome a few new customers this year, and that means trying new ideas, offering new experiences, and giving those ideas time to grow. Some things may take months to show results — and that’s where patience and persistence come in again.
A Look at 2025 Projects
Below is a gallery of some of my favorite projects from the past year. Each one represents time spent creating, learning, and enjoying the process — and I’m grateful for every moment at my craft table.
