As I settle into the start of 2026, I’ve been spending time reflecting on what I want this year to look like — creatively, personally, and within my paper crafting life. This year is about being more intentional: with my time, with my supplies, and with how I show up consistently.
I’ve recently shared several YouTube videos that really set the tone for the year, and I wanted to bring everything together here in one place.
My Goals for 2026 (and YouTube)
One of my first videos of the year is all about my 2026 goals for YouTube and crafting.
In that video, I talk about:
- Why crafting regularly matters to me (and how it keeps me from drifting and scrolling too much)
- My YouTube posting schedule
- Why community is such an important part of my creative life
- How I’m thinking about growing my channel in a realistic, sustainable way
This year isn’t about doing everything. It’s about doing the right things, consistently and with purpose.

Low Buy & Intentional Paper Crafting Decisions
Two additional videos dive deeper into something I’m being much more mindful of this year: how and why I buy craft supplies.
A Low Buy Year as a Paper Crafter
In the first video, I share why I’m committing to a low buy year as a paper crafter and what that really means for me.
I talk about:
- Moving away from constant FOMO
- Understanding what I’m genuinely drawn to versus what just looks good in a catalog
- Recognizing what I actually use in my paper crafting
- Shifting my focus toward smart buying and stash busting
This mindset shift has already helped me feel more focused, less overwhelmed, and more excited to create.
I also created a self assessment on my crafting that helped me narrow down what I truly like and don’t like but might buy because.
Download the assessment if you want to use it as well to help understand your own crafting.

How I Decide What to Buy from a Craft Catalog
In the second video, I walk through my catalog decision process, especially as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator who is primarily a hobbyist.
I share openly about:
- Having quarterly minimums and what that looks like in real life
- Why I often shop my own store for convenience and simplicity
- The importance of community and staying connected with my upline
- How recreating ideas with supplies you already have can be just as satisfying as buying new
- What I chose to buy this cycle — and why I skipped other items
This video isn’t about encouraging more spending. It’s about making thoughtful, strategic decisions that fit your crafting style, space, and season of life.
Again I built a Catalog Decision worksheet that you can download and use

Before I talk about memberships, I want to share an upcoming live monthly craft night that everyone is welcome to join.

YouTube Memberships: Craft Nights & Community
This live craft night is a great example of why I decided to launch a YouTube Membership this year — to create more intentional opportunities to craft together and build community.
For $4.99 per month, members receive:
- Member-only videos for projects I can’t show on my public channel
- A smaller, more connected crafting space
The goal isn’t perfection. It’s showing up, creating, and connecting.

Creating in 2026: Finished Projects So Far
One of my biggest goals this year is simply to create more finished projects, not just plan or collect supplies.
So far in 2026, I’ve completed:
- One-page scrapbook layouts
- The same layout done in different styles
- Both soft floral designs and more masculine, outdoor-inspired layouts

I’ll continue sharing these projects on YouTube and here on the blog as the year goes on.
