Photo Friday

Just checking in again- did you review your photos last week? Congratulations if you did your review you are halfway to a habit.

So this week is a short post about photo printing. I found a new app that will let me resize my photos to the 3×3 and 4×4 sizes that I like to used on my layouts. It is an iPhone app Print to Size and it allows me to crop and resize my photos to these square sizes.

Another app I use is the Epson Creative Print app for collage prints. It’s does very similar job for an Epson printers. Both are very good at the cropping and resizing. The Epson app is free and the Print to Size is $1.99, very low cost for the ability to crop easily pictures you want to print at home.

So what printer do I use at home? Right now my go to printer is the Epson PM-400. It prints full 4×6 and 5×7 prints which is great to get this 2 sizes in one printer. Also this allows me to create collage prints for those smaller sizes too. I have set up auto delivery from Amazon to get the ink and paper every month so I don’t worry about running out as I am printing for my layouts and live demos

I am waiting to get a new full size printer and when I replace my printer is will be looking at the HP Envy because I really like their auto delivery ink and with Canon 8×10 photo printer you can get a lot of photos on one sheet at about .05c per picture.

Two last resources that I use: Persnickety Prints is a great printing source if you are looking for to have your pictures printed for you instead. They use the highest quality print technology given you great prints at all sizes. They will do collage prints as well to get those multiple size pictures. They also have a great blog with great posts about photography and photo repeated topics.

Red River Paper is the next level up for photo papers that professional photographers use. They have sample pack option that allows you to try different papers and see which one works the best for your needs. They even sell 12×12 scrapbook photo paper if you are a digital scrapbooker and have a printer that can print out 12×12 size pages!

One last comment I do not get anything from any of these recommendations they are just products I use and am passing on my option on how they have worked for me. Persnickety Prints is a Close To My Heart partner with the Craft with Heart Subscription as full disclosure.

Remember to review you photos this week and see you back here next Friday night.
