The Portugal & Bermuda Trip: What Goes Into Planning Something Like This ✈️
I’ve been in full trip-prep mode this week, and I’ll be honest — packing for 16 days is its own kind of project. We have a formal wedding , black tux and dress, in Portugal, which adds a whole layer to the packing equation. You’re not just throwing in a couple of pairs of jeans and calling it done. There’s the wedding outfits, the shoes that have to work with it, the layers for cooler evenings, the comfortable walking shoes for all the exploring in between. Getting all of that into luggage you can actually manage is a puzzle. Plus packing things to bring to Emilia in Bermuda. The Tetris game has been real
We’re spending 10 days in Portugal before heading to Bermuda, so a big part of the planning has been figuring out what’s realistic. 3 days of wedding events and then seeing the country as best as we can in the remaining days. Portugal has so much to see — we could easily spend 10 more days there — so we’ve had to make some decisions about what’s worth the drive and what we need to skip to make sure we’re back in time for our flight to Bermuda June 22nd. It’s the kind of itinerary where you plan everything carefully and then accept that something will go sideways anyway. 😄
I’ve been picking hotels, reading up on what’s worth seeing in each region, and trying to build an itinerary that leaves a little breathing room. The last thing you want is to be scrambling across the country to make a connection.

June 20th: Let’s Scrap Together — A Free Virtual Event! 🎉
While I’m off exploring Portugal, there’s something really fun happening that I want to make sure you know about. My upline Susan is part of a collab event called Let’s Scrap Together, and it’s going live on Facebook on June 20th.
Here’s what it is: five demonstrators, each teaching a unique double-page scrapbooking layout — sharing their own style, techniques, and approach to memory keeping. The event is free to watch live, and by the end of the day you’ll have seen five complete layouts and come away with a whole lot of ideas.
Susan will be creating two double-page layouts using half a pack of one of the featured papers and half the sticker sheet — so if you want to craft right along with her and the other fabulous ladies head over to join the group to learn and craft together.
